1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Calendar Peek ("the Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Extension.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Calendar Peek ("we," "our," or "us") regarding your use of the Extension and related services.

2. Description of Service

Calendar Peek is a Chrome browser extension that provides calendar integration and productivity tools by connecting to your Google Calendar through Google's OAuth 2.0 service. The Extension allows you to:

  • View your Google Calendar events within Chrome
  • Create and manage calendar events
  • Receive notifications and reminders
  • Access calendar data offline
  • Customize calendar display and preferences

3. Eligibility and Registration

3.1 Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use Calendar Peek. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the Extension.

3.2 Google Account

To use Calendar Peek, you must have a valid Google account and authorize the Extension to access your Google Calendar. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials.

3.3 Chrome Browser

Calendar Peek is designed for use with Google Chrome browser. We do not guarantee compatibility with other browsers or browser versions.

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to use Calendar Peek only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Extension to violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Extension's functionality
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension
  • Use the Extension to transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your Google account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4.3 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the calendar events and data you create, modify, or share through Calendar Peek. We do not review, monitor, or control the content of your calendar data.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

By using Calendar Peek, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

Calendar Peek and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the Extension without permission

7. Service Availability and Updates

7.1 Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Extension may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Maintenance and updates
  • Technical issues
  • Google API service disruptions
  • Force majeure events

7.2 Updates and Changes

We may update the Extension from time to time to:

  • Add new features and functionality
  • Fix bugs and improve performance
  • Address security vulnerabilities
  • Comply with legal requirements

Updates may be automatic or require manual installation. Continued use of the Extension after updates constitutes acceptance of the updated version.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

8.1 Service Disclaimers

Calendar Peek is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties that the Extension will be error-free or uninterrupted
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of calendar data
  • Warranties that defects will be corrected

8.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of profits, data, or use
  • Business interruption
  • Personal injury or property damage
  • Any damages resulting from calendar data loss or corruption

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Extension, if any, or $50, whichever is greater.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Calendar Peek and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Extension
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Your calendar content or data

10. Termination

10.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your use of Calendar Peek at any time by:

  • Uninstalling the Extension from Chrome
  • Revoking access in your Google Account settings
  • Contacting us to request account deletion

10.2 Termination by Us

We may terminate or suspend your access to Calendar Peek immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Extended periods of inactivity
  • Discontinuation of the Extension

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use Calendar Peek ceases immediately
  • We may delete your account and data
  • Provisions that survive termination remain in effect

11. Governing Law and Disputes

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11.2 Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Calendar Peek shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall be conducted in San Francisco, California.

11.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

12. Miscellaneous

12.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Calendar Peek regarding the Extension.

12.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

12.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.

12.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

12.5 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, or technical failures.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Posting the updated Terms on this page
  • Updating the "Last updated" date
  • Sending you an email notification (for significant changes)

Your continued use of Calendar Peek after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
